Still working through our botanical series, we worked on some emu designs this week, with one of our favourites pictured below. Through research and burying our heads in books, we learnt that the Kangaroo Island Emu or Dwarf Emu (Dromaius baudinianus) has been extinct since 1827. We felt compelled to create a design that reminded us that all living things are precious, and to be protected.
