Mondays are not so bad when you feel a sense of either a) a restful relaxing weekend, or b) A sense of accomplishment. For us it's the latter. It rained all weekend, and it was cold, and grey. The lack of sun may not have allowed us the best light for indoor photos, but we managed. It was all in part a bit of a celebration for our new studio makeover! Here are two detailed photos taken from parts of our studio.
From left to right - a small selection of the many paintings we have bought over the years, there are two vintage botanical prints we picked up in a local op-shop, two landscape paintings by Jeremy Miranda, and two cat paintings by Kristina M aka Queen of The Cats. There are also two new designs from us - a work in progress, titled Blossom. The box in the fireplace was an old discarded cabinet that used to live in a shed, but now houses candles, thread, sewing needles, and bits and bobs that have no permanent home - yet. And old tins make for excellent paper work filing systems! The photo on the right is a collection of photos, our designs in progress, and the vintage drawers were also purchased from the local op-shop. Perfect for storing brushes, gouache, paper, etc. Nice big size drawers! On such a cold day, looking at that fireplace, I can't help but think perhaps some wood should be in there - making my toes toasty warm. Have a great week everyone! More from us soon.

Looks like a very inspiring place!
Wow looks fabulous... I wish I could apply to do a residency at inaluxe (currently applying for one at Portland, Victoria - but not quite the same!) Joy to yous!
Yummmmm! What a gorgeous space - love it :) I have two sets of those drawers too, but mine are both two-thirds the size (ie each chest of drawers has three rows of the two small drawers) They're very cute, aren't they? Loving those cat paintings too :) Kx
Wow it looks fantastic! I love the drawers - I just love them!!!. We are moving in 2 weeks -to Oxford - and the rental place we have is a 60s bungalow which although not gorgeous has a nice 60s vibe which will probably work better with our furniture and stuff. I'm quite looking forward to arranging all our things in a new space and intend to put up your prints immediately! It's a shame they've had less than a year up in my bedroom here :(
yay for a feeling of accomplishment! looks like a wonderful space.
Wow love it! Such gorgeous makeover! What an inspiring place to work! I agree a fire in the fireplace would be very nice and cosy :)
I love your prints so much that I featured you on my blog. Hope you won't mind. Link: http://www.aprettierplace.net/2012/07/retro-cool-prints-by-inaluxe.html
